Abstract

Ordered mesoporous tungsten sulfide (WS₂) with high surface area and narrow pore size distribution was synthesized by a vacuum assisted impregnation route. The as-prepared mesoporous WS₂ exhibited a high lithium storage capacity of 805 mA h g−1 at a current of 0.1 A g−1 and an excellent high rate capability.
