Abstract

An old idea in sandwich chemistry has now been realized: The black, film-like polymer 2 was obtained by thermal polycondensation of the dinickel complex 1 in vacuo. The thermally very stable but oxygen-sensitive 2 is a semiconductor. EXAFS investigations suggest a distorted polydecker sandwich structure.
