Magnet Sensors for Biological Studies with Digital Output

Abstract

Sensors based on a magnetic field are used for biochemical analyses, study of biostructures and medical research, including fluids containing magnetic micro- and nano-particles as blood, blood plasma, for DNA analyses, etc. They have important advantages: compactness, high accuracy and sensitivity, reliability, low power consumption, low cost, easy operation and capacity for digital processing of information. The development of sensors based on magnetically sensitive integrated circuits is of great interest. They are employed mainly for indication of magnetic fields of structures containing magnetic components. This paper presents both theoretical and experimental proof of the possibility for using digital magnetically sensitive integrated circuits for measuring magnetic induction which are applicable to biological studies.
