Spinodal decomposition ranges of BxAlyGa1–x–yN, BxGayIn1–x–yN and BxAlyIn1–x–yN alloys with the zinc blende structure lattice matched to GaN and SiC are considered. The coherency strain energy of the alloys occurring after the phase separation is taken into account. The alloys are represented as quasiternary regu- lar solutions. It is shown that the spinodal decomposition ranges of the considered alloys are absent at all temperatures of interest. The coherency strain energy prevents spinodal decomposition.
