Lattice Dynamics of Rubidium Halide Crystals

Abstract

Abstract Phonon dispersion curves of rubidium halide crystals are calculated in three principal symmetry directions on the basis of the three‐body force shell model by incorporating charge transfer effects in an appropriate manner. A comparison of the theoretical results with the neutron scattering measurements of Raunio and Rolandson exhibits very good agreement.
