Supermode Interference in Multicore Fiber Optimized for use in Sensing Applications

Abstract

A multicore fiber has been optimized for use in sensing applications. Supermode interference was investigated through simulation and experiment, enabling sharp spectral features and high transmission necessary for sensor multiplexing.
