Differential Pulse Voltammetry on Spherical Microelectrodes

Abstract

A theory of differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and polarography (DPP) of reversible redox reaction on the spherical electrode is developed. Numerical solutions for DPV peak currents and peak potentials are compared with the analytical solutions obtained for DPP and satisfactory agreement is found when the period between pulses is more than five times longer than the pulse. Under this condition the application of the theory is greatly simplified.
