Enhanced magnetic properties in electrodeposited nickel films

Abstract

High quality Nickel films were electrodeposited directly onto a n-type GaAs substrate without a buffer layer. Variation of the growth parameters showed that galvanostatic control produced the best quality films and the crystallographic orientation of the films was found to bc dependent on the current density applied during growth.
