Abstract

The Faraday rotation spectra of Co/SiO2 multilayer films were found to be substantially different from the well-known spectra of homogeneous Co films. The character of these changes was studied as a function of the thicknesses of the ferromagnetic metal and the nonmagnetic dielectric layers.
