Optical fringe pattern processing using empirical mode decomposition based algorithms

Abstract

In the paper we present two fringe pattern processing techniques based on the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) method. Recently our group has successfully employed the fast and adaptive EMD (FABEMD) method for studying the moiré phenomenon and low quality fringe pattern adaptive enhancement. This contribution deals with further developments of our previous works.
