LA BIBLIOTECA ESCOLAR: La lectura desde la adolescencia

Abstract

[EN] The school library is the location nearest to teenagers to read because it is in the same \nschool where studies are performed. In this article the advantages involving school \nlibraries for creating reading habits among youth are analyzed. This is also analyzed \nwhich should be the requirements to be met for a school library is not confused with a \nlocation where there are books, but without adequate library services. From the data of \nthe last report of school libraries of the Ministry of Education of Spain indicates that there \nare very few libraries with adequate services for the school community, which explains in \npart the low yields of international reports of student assessment.
