Arbitrarily located resonant slots in waveguide: exact condition for circular polarisation

Abstract

The general displaced inclined resonant slot in a waveguide is analysed in terms of its scattering parameters. The analysis is applied both to a plane and a corrugated waveguide. It is subsequently shown that the condition for direct radiation of circularly polarised waves through crossed slots is less general than is normally expressed.
