Optical pulse generator using phase modulator and chirped fiber Bragg grating

Abstract

We demonstrate an optical pulse generator, in which CW light is modulated by a phase modulator and compressed into pulses by linearly chirped fiber Bragg gratings. Two types of pulse are generated by changing the conditions.
