Direct design of transitional Butterworth-Chebyshev recursive digital filters

Abstract

A simple method for the approximation of an all-pole transfer function directly in the digital domain for the design of recursive digital filters is described. The transfer function of these filters, referred to as transitional Butterworth–Chebyshev filters, has properties that lie between Butterworth and Chebyshev functions.
