Integrated optic frequency shifter modulator

Abstract

The letter describes a novel integrated optic configuration to impose a frequency shift on laser light. The new device is simple to fabricate and has a very broad bandwidth extending from kilohertz to hundreds of megahertz. It Converts over 40% of the input optical power to the required sideband.
