Abstract

By tuning the interfacial diffusion within a multilayer catalytic structure, the growth of carbon nanotubes can be effectively controlled. As Z. J. Han and co-workers report in article 1300151, the tri-layered Al2O3/Fe(Mo)/Al2O3 catalyst structure allows the tuning of the key parameters of single-walled carbon nanotube networks such as density, diameter, and conductivity.
