Band‐notched ultra‐wideband slot antenna

Abstract

Abstract This work presents a band‐notched ultra‐wideband (UWB) circular slot antenna free from interference with existing wireless systems. The antenna has an indented circular stub embedded inside the circular slot. The desired band‐notched UWB operation can be obtained by choosing the size of the pie‐slot cut in the circular stub. Details of the proposed design and experimental results of the constructed antennas are presented. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
