Acoustic Field in a Cylindrical Fluid Luneberg Lens—A Short Sequel

Abstract

A cylindrical fluid acoustic Luneberg lens has been subjected to a wave analysis in a manner similar to that previously used for the corresponding spherical lens. The cylindrical Luneberg lens exhibits, as does its spherical counterpart, characteristic asymptotic focal properties that are fairly well established for wavenumber-aperture products of about 20.
