Dielectric samples of Ni‐Zn ferrites which are stoichiometric with respect both to oxygen and to a 1:1 molar ratio of the divalent oxides to Fe 2 O 3 have low (∼15) dielectric constants, ε′ p , which are independent of frequency. This finding differs sharply from reported results in which the dielectric constant of Ni‐Zn ferrites has always been observed to have a pronounced low‐frequency dispersion. Because the conditions of preparation of such stoichiometric ferrites are critical, it is concluded that the present findings result from careful control of stoichiometry. The loss‐related characteristic, ε″ p , is also reported and discussed.
