A Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Band Stop Filter

Abstract

A transmission mode band reject filter using TE X Y/ mode of a rectangular dielectric resonator (DR) is discussed. The band reject filter characteristics of the DR operating in the TE X Y/ mode, coupled to a microstrip line enclosed within a cylindrical cavity is studied. The achieved 10 dB bandwidth of this filter is 215 MHz at 1817 MHz with more than 20 dB band rejection attenuation
