Abstract

Abstract The new compounds BaMn 2 Sb 2 , BaZn 2 Sb 2 and BaCd 2 Sb 2 have been prepared and structurally characterized. The crystallographic data are: BaMn 2 Sb 2 : I4/mmm, a = 441.8 ± 0.6 pm, c = 1440 ± 2 pm, ThCr 2 Si 2 structure, BaZn 2 Sb 2 : Pnma, a = 1053.9 ± 0.8 pm, b = 450.2 ± 0.2 pm, c = 1163.9 ± 0.8 pm, BaCu 2 S 2 structure, BaCd 2 Sb 2 : P3̅m 1 , a = 477 ± 1 pm, c = 808 ± 2 pm, Ce 2 O 2 S structure
