We investigated the ferroelastic property of LiKSO4 single crystals grown by the slow evaporation method. The ferroelastic domain switching stress given by the saturation effect is about 0.5 MPa. The temperature dependence of the stress–strain hysteresis was also studied. From these results, it was determined that the LiKSO4 single crystal undergoes a ferroelastic phase transition near Tc1 = —83 °C, and it was also confirmed that this crystal has ferroelastic characteristics in phase III.
