The Electron Affinities of Organic Electron Acceptors

Valdis KamparsO. Neilands

Year: 1977 Journal:   Russian Chemical Reviews Vol: 46 (6)Pages: 503-513   Publisher: Institute of Physics

Abstract

The principal methods used to determine the electron affinities of organic molecules are examined and the published data in this field are analysed. Briegleb's series, used in the majority of instances, yields absolute values which are too low. The most probable absolute electron affinities are quoted for the majority of organic electron acceptors investigated and their dependence on substituents and structural features is analysed. The bibliography includes 122 references.
