Anomolous Dielectric Relaxation in Nickel-Doped Barium-Strontium Titanate Ceramics

Abstract

Dielectric properties of Ni-doped (Ba,Sr)TiO 3 ceramics were investigated as a function of temperature up to 700°C. Peaks of a dielectric constant were found around 250°C depending on applied frequency. This phenomenon has been interpreted by the authors in terms of a newly proposed localized dipole model which assumes that defect dipoles are localized on each grain surface.
