Power allocation and relay selection for cellular network with cooperative network coding

Abstract

Power allocation and relay selection are two schemes to improve network power and commutation efficiency. Based on the cooperative network coding MARC model in the cellular network, this paper derives the analytical expression of outage probability, power allocation fraction and relay location. An iterative search strategy to get the optimal set for minimizing the system outage probability is used. Moreover, the paper proposes a relay selection algorithm on the basis of the minimized outage probability. Simulations over Rayleigh fading and path loss fading channels show that power allocation can significantly decrease the outage probability and the proposed non-dedicated relay selection scheme has a lower outage probability over dedicated relay selection scheme.
