Sagnac loop interferometer using polarization maintaining photonic crystal fiber

Abstract

A Sagnac loop interferometer using polarization maintaining (PM) photonic crystal fiber was experimentally demonstrated and analyzed. Different filtering functions and reduced temperature dependence were observed. Experimental results agree well with simulations.
