Abstract

The cover picture of this issue shows a TEM micrograph of self-assembled, nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide membranes which were used as templates for the electrodeposition of FePt3 magnetic nanowire arrays with a radius of 50 nm and a high aspect ratio above 100. In the further experiments reported in the Editor's Choice paper by Fashen Li and Liyuan Ren [1] from Lanzhou University, P.R. China, the magnetic anisotropy, coercivity, and the magnetization reversal mechanism of the nanowire arrays were investigated.
