Abstract

The Obama administration has set a goal of one million electric cars on the road by 2015 to reduce air pollution and dependence on fossil fuels. The UK government has similarly ambitious targets, but all of this is dependent on public confidence that the charging infrastructure will be in place. The paper investigates how electric vehicle market is gaining strength through careful consideration of the future charging-point infrastructure.
