Current Oscillations of Charge-Density Waves Pinned by Impurities

Abstract

The dynamics of an incommensurate pinned charge-density wave in an external electric field is described by a kinetic three-dimensional discrete Gaussian model. Current oscillations are obtained as a consequence of a flat interface and a broken symmetry of this model.
