Widely Tunable Resonant Cavity Enhanced Detectors Built Around Photonic Crystals

Abstract

Photonic crystals are periodic structures having the property of reflecting the EM waves in all directions for a certain range of frequencies.1 These crystals, built at various dimensions with different techniques, offer a wide range of applications in a spectrum ranging from microwave, to optical frequencies.2
