Design and Implementation of Linux-Based IPv4/IPv6 Translation Gateway

Abstract

With the rapid development of Internet, a number of new resources of IPv6 have emerged. But some local area networks can not use these resources as it does not support the IPv6. So how to achieve communication between IPv4 and IPv6 is a problem to be resolved urgently. Combining NAT-PT with DNS_ALG, this system makes it possible to realize IPv4 and IPv6 communications between applications. Finally, communications between IPv4 network and IPv6 network are achieved.
