Absolute distance measurement by adjustable synthetic wavelength dual-comb interferometry

Abstract

We demonstrate a dead-zone-free dual-comb interferometer for absolute long distance measurements. The non-ambiguity range is extended without dead zones to ~1.2 km by adjusting the synthetic wavelength for long target distances.
