An improved harmonic detecting approach for active power filter

Abstract

An improved harmonic detecting method is presented on the basis of the conventional approach using DQ rotating coordination transformation. The detailed comparison of the conventional method and the improved approach is performed through sensitivity analysis and Monte-Carlo analysis by Saber. The simulation results indicate that the detecting precision of the improved approach is much higher than that of the conventional method. The analysis results are verified by a simulation prototype of a 56 kVA three-phase active power filter.
