Abstract

In his article “Beyond Unions and Collective Bargaining,” Leo Troy articulated a description of a system of individual representation. This response questions basic assumptions of that description and attempts to describe the complex interactions between unionized and unorganized work. It also suggests looking for empirical evidence by examining New Zealand's experiences under the sort of system Troy advocates.
