Abstract

Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation produces a wide range of airframe and aircraft engine components as well as providing specialised castings to other industries. Computer based technologies are currently used in design, manufacturing, quality control and production control. The company is continuously upgrading these capabilities and is planning an evolutionary approach to integrated manufacturing. This paper describes some of these techniques, their use, and experience in their establishment.
