Design of maximally flat group delay filters

Abstract

This paper presents a new method of designing all pole filters that satisfy desired degree of flatness and a desired phase at any specified frequency point. Degree of flatness at a different frequency points are not necessarily equal. The specifications of the desired flatness and the phase result in the set of linear equations whose solution yields the filter coefficients.
