Chaos Synchronization based on Sliding Mode Observer

Abstract

This paper proposes a robust sliding mode observer used for the synchronization of a class of uncertain chaotic systems. A novel control law is presented for the robust sliding mode observer. Unlike other methods of chaos synchronization using the observer, the paper uses the output vector other than a scalar output. In order to guarantee the requirement of single transmission line between the master chaotic system and the slave chaotic system, the paper proposes a new transmission method, which transmits multi signals using only one transmission channel. The paper applies the above transmission method to the chaos synchronization. The simulations of hyperchaotic Chua's circuit are presented to show the effectiveness of the method presented in the paper.
