Abstract

Nanofibers produced by electrospinning have several properties such as high surface area to volume ratio, high porosity and pore size in nanorange. In this paper, the preparation of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN)/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) composite fibers by electrospinning was studied. The influence of processing parameters, i.e., polymer concentration, applied voltage, flow rate, spinneret-to-collector distance, were investigated.
