Práticas de gestão de custos logísticos internos: estudo de caso em empresa moveleira do sul do Brasil

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the processes and practices of management of internallogistics costs of Brazilian furniture company. It is a study of a single case and withqualitative approach. Data were collected in the third quarter of 2013, with interviews withcompany managers, document review and on-site observation. Data analysis was supportedby the Software Sphinx. The findings indicate that among the processes of internal logisticsmanagement the one that generates more costs is transport, but when the retail stock is poorlymanaged, it generates incremental burden of opportunity cost. There is partial consistency ofpractices of the logistics process in relation to the literature on logistics activities and strategicmanagement practices costs.
