A Range-Free Localization Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract

Distributed localization in wireless sensor networks has attracted significant interest in recent years. In this paper, we propose two improvements towards the DV-Hop algorithm: the anchor placement strategy and the Weighted DV-Hop algorithm. It is demonstrated that our proposals ensure better location estimations, and the Weighted DV-Hop is expected to perform even better in actual implementations.
