4-(4-Chlorophenyl)-3-(3-methoxybenzyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-5(4H)-thione

Abstract

The title compound, C16H14ClN3OS, is an important, biologically active heterocyclic compound. The triazole ring is oriented at dihedral angles of 66.65 (3) and 82.53 (3)° with respect to the 4-chloro­phenyl and 2-(3-methoxy­phen­yl)methyl rings, respectively. The dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 32.90 (2)°. In the crystal structure, inter­molecular N—H⋯S hydrogen bonds link the mol­ecules into centrosymmetric dimers.
