Abstract

Well-dispersed CdSe solid spheres with diameter of 0.5∼1 μm were prepared in distilled water at 90°C with surfactant quaternary ammonium salt of 2-undecyl-1-dithioureido-thyl-imidazoline (SUDEI). The products were characterized with TEM, SEM, XRD, EDXA, and FT-IR, indicating that SUDEI had strong shape-controlling and in situ surface modification effects on the structure evolution of CdSe. This low-temperature route is facile and convenient. Besides, the CdSe solid spheres product was applied into electrochemical DNA detection analysis. The detection limit of target ssDNA was pmol/L, showing that DNA probe labeled with CdSe had potential application in electrochemical DNA detection analysis and biosensors.
