Experimental demonstration of the fractional spectral Talbot effect in sampled chirped fiber Bragg gratings

Abstract

We provide the first experimental observation of the fractional spectral self-imaging effect in sampled chirped fiber Bragg gratings. This effect can be used for implementing multi-wavelength filters with increased channel density.
