Transición en Chile: ¿Hacia que democracia?

Abstract

RESUMEN: En este artículo se analiza el proceso chileno de transición política, a partir de la crítica a las posiciones sostenidas al respecto en el texto de Paulo Hidalgo -"Perfil y evolución del sistema de partidos en Chile"- aparecido en esta misma revista. Para ello, el autor plantea otra interpretación tanto de la quiebra de la democracia como de la significación y alcance de la transición en la forma en que, de hecho, está teniendo lugar. Finalmente, concluye con lo que entiende supone el verdadero tema de fondo de la cuestión objeto de debate.ABSTRACT: In this article is analysed the chilean process of political transition, from the critique to the positions maintained about it in the Paulo Hidalgo's text -"Outline and evolution of the party system in Chile"- published in this very review. In order to do it, the author states another interpretation about the breakdown of democracy and also about the signification and reach of the transition in the way in which, in fact, is taking place. Finally, he concludes with the thing that he means it supposes the real capital subject of the question object of discussion.
